My Leader of the P.A.C.K.
For the past couple of weeks we have been getting phone call and email reminders that Paige's last P.A.C.K. assembly is coming up. Why Pack? Because they are Coyotes, of course!!
y of the assembly we filed into the gymnasium with all the other students, parents and teachers. Paige was shocked to see us there, but didn't seem to be wondering why. She sat with her class and we patiently say through a 2 hour assembly. Many kids were recognized...but not Paige. First was P - Personal Intergrity. Then A - Acheivement. C - Citizenship and K - Kindness. P.A.C.K. Each letter was defined and
had 1 or 2 students from each grade recognized. They also gave awards for attendance and words read throughout the school year.
We had been invited and encouraged to attend and bring our cameras and family because Paige was to receive an award. We were also told not to tell Paige, as it was a surprise.
We didn't think to much of it, because we know that the P.A.C.K. assemblies are where ALL the kids get recognized throughout the year for doing good deeds or showing initiative in class, things like that. But I couldn't help but wonder why all the secrecy...
So on the daThe assembly was all but over when they called Paige up, along with 4 other students from the whole school. Paige was awarded the Leader of the P.A.C.K. award... for showing all of the above consistently through out the school year and demonstrating all of the qualities of a PACK Leader. I have never been so proud in my life!
