61 and 7 years

October markes the month of my baby girls birthday. She turned 7 this year! I can't believe how fast the time goes. For her party this year she decided she wanted to go cosmic bowling with her friends. The bowling alley we went to is not just your ordinary smoke filled bowling alley. It's like a party everywhere you turn. There is a pool hall, a full service restaurant, an arcade and laser tag. For cosmic bowling, the lights go out, the strobe lights come on and everything glows in the dark.

We had a Hannah Montana spectacular party! She had all her soccer team there and her best friends from school. It was lots of fun for her!

To make it even more special, my grandparents, her great-grandparents were here to visit and they popped in to enjoy the festivities. I think all the blinking lights and loud music was a little too much for them, but it was special none-the-less.

October is also the month that my grandparents celebrate their anniversary. 61 years it was this year. Their anniversary falls on the day after Paige's birthday. To celebrate we took them out to dinner at the White Fence Farm. It's a place not too far from here that is an actual farm house that was made into a restaurant. The servers there wear old fashioned milk maid outfits and they serve a real chicken dinner. There are real farm animals around that you can feed and pet, a huge playground with an authentic tree house, and much more! When dinner was done we took the kids on the carriage ride around the grounds. This was my first carriage ride, unless you count riding in a buggy pulled by my cousin Gary's draft horses back in Iowa. It was nice.

I know we don't have many more years with my grandparents, so I treasure these times.
