Paige's 1st Day of 1st Grade

Paige started 1st Grade today! She was so excited to get back to school! This is her first day at her new school, Coyote Hills Elementary. We went to back to school night on Friday and got to meet her teacher, Mr. Lindahl, and see her new classroom. Rumor has it that Mr. Lindahl is a strict teacher. But all we saw at the Meet and Greet was people coming to give him hugs....kids that had him LAST year! So it seems that his students really do like him. Personally, I think Paige does better with structure and strict is probably good for a bunch of 1st graders!

More exciting than seeing her new classroom and meeting her teacher was knowing that Paige was going to pack a lunch and eat in the actual lunchroom with her friends. She has been given a food allowance to buy lunch, but for her 1st day of school Paige really wanted to take her lunch in her new tinkerbell lunch box.

But the MOST exciting thing for Paige today was getting to ride the school bus! She has been looking forward to that ALL summer! We are lucky that the school bus stop is located directly across the street from our house. Paige doesn't have far to walk to get there and we can see her from the front door, or the kitchen, the whole time - until she is safe and sound on the bus. Coyote Hills Elem. is only a few minutes away from the house, so it is a short ride. She doesn't even leave our neighborhood!

I can't believe how big my baby girl is! A 1st Grader!
