Date Night at Downtown Disney
The Market Place is where there are shops and boutiques with everything Disney. It is a shoppers haven if you fancy Mickey Mouse, Disney Princess, or the like. It has a little something for everyone. There are fancy Disney Art shops that boast original paintings, sketches and ceramics. They even have disney themed Precious Mo
Moving across the downtown area, the West Side is where Disney Quest and Cirque de Soliel are. Cirque de Soleil is housed by it's own huge white tent. We have never seen the show there, because the tickets are like $125 each. Disney Quest is a huge 3 story interactive Disney theme park. Imagine all the theme parks gone digital! You can ride rides just by putting on special glasses. Of course, there is much too much in Disney Quest to describe here.
Across from these 2 and planted right in the middle is Pleasure Island. That is where we spent most of our evening. There is a restaurant there called Fulton's Crab House. It is an old river boat docked and the seafood there is flown in fresh twice daily. The waiters are dressed in white and everything about this place screams high class. Robert and I dined at Fulton's on our Honeymoon, and we took Jen and Kevin there for dinner tonight. I ordered the "fried platter" which sounded very interesting to me. It had fried lobster tail and fried scallops... new and interesting tastes to me... but very good! Robert ordered a stuffed Lobster and Kevin and Jen shared a huge platter of lobster and crab legs.
After dinner we walked around Downtown Disney, did some shopping, and treated ourselves to dessert at Ghiradelli's for ice cream. It was a fabulous time!
