Fall Soccer comes to an end...

Fall soccer was busy but a lot of fun this year! Cole's team the Eagles played some really good games and Cole had several shots where he scored goals. At his age they don't really keep score, but us parents always knew if they won or lost. I don't remember the exact numbers, but they won several games and the most important thing is that the boys had a lot of fun! They all learned the skills and the basics of the game and we hope to have all the boys back together for the spring! We loved our coach and hope he stays with the team.

Paige's team, the SuperStars went undefeated! It was an amazing season for the girls. So good, in fact, that the coach has pushed them up a level in their division. So in the spring they will be competing in the top level of their age group. It will be more challenging for them, and hopefully they will continue to win!

The whole team minus one girl stayed together for the winter indoor league. They have played well and were undefeated for nearly the whole first session, but finally lost their first game to a team that proved to be equally as good during the fall season. When we played them in the fall we pulled out with a win. We weren't as lucky the second time we played them and they lost 8-5. I half expected the girls to be angry... or depressed, but I think they were actually kind of relieved...maybe they were feeling the pressure of being an undefeated team.

We are busy with swimming for the time being and Paige alternates weekend swim meets with indoor soccer games. The soccer team will not resume weekly practice until the spring. Cole is taking a break until spring soccer starts, but we have considered putting him in swim lessons to see how he likes it. We shall see!
