Christmas at Coyote Hills

Both Paige and Cole had holiday parties at school, and I was so lucky that they were at different times on the same day, so I was able to attend BOTH parties in entirety and really enjoy it with them! Robert was unable to attend this year due to obligations at work, so it was important that I be able to go to both parties with the kids.
The kindergarteners rotated through each of the classrooms doing projects and playing games that each teacher had planned. Cole's favorite project was the one he did in his own classroom. He made foam reindeer antlers that he wore all day long. The decorated and ate sugar cookies, made ornaments, played pint he parts on the snowman and had a book exchange. The kids came to class dressed in their pajamas. It was a fun holiday party! Thanks Ms. Choi, Ms. Shantz and Ms. Brander!
Further down the hall and later in the afternoon, Mr. Buehler had a pretty successful party for his classroom as well! The 2nd graders did not get to wear comfy jammies to school, but they did partake in a pretty cool book exchange. Paige chose a Goosebumps chapter book to bring to the exchange and was so thrilled when her good friend Maya got her book. Maya was so excited to get a Goosebumps book that she practically knocked Paige over with a hug when she thanked Paige for the book. Paige received a BoxCar children trilogy from her friend Kate. Besides the book exchange the kids made Christmas trees out of inverted ice cream cones, green frosting and lots of candies. It was a fun afternoon! Thank you Mr. Buehler! You rock!
